Since 1964, Okanagan Hardwood Flooring has been helping homeowners and industry professionals create beautiful spaces throughout the Okanagan Valley. For over six decades, we’ve built our reputation on quality products, expert craftsmanship and personalized service — and we’re proud that so many of our clients continue to return to us project after project. Our History

Founded in 1964, Okanagan Hardwood Flooring Co. Ltd. is one of the oldest hardwood flooring companies in the Okanagan Valley. Throughout the years, Okanagan Hardwood has stayed at the forefront of our industry by researching the best mills, ordering from the most reputable manufacturers, training our employees in the newest and most effective finishing techniques, and investing in the most modern and environmentally friendly equipment available.  Okanagan Hardwood was the first hardwood flooring company in the Okanagan Valley to introduce a Dustless Sanding System.

In 2007, we created Okanagan Tile Company Ltd., so that we could offer our customers every type of flooring product they would want.  With its own beautiful adjoining showroom, our customers can wander through a collection of beautiful tile and natural stone samples, as well as pull-out drawer units containing a wide array of ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, mosaics, glass and stainless-steel samples.

In 2009, we completed a total renovation of our showroom, expanding it from 900 to 2500 square feet, and creating a gallery style presentation flooring samples.  Open, airy and with a relaxed atmosphere, the showroom allows our customers to explore at their leisure.  Our expanded showroom displays a large selection of hardwood, tile, carpet, vinyl, laminate, cork and resilient flooring. Completing this transformation, we built a new 5000 square foot warehouse. 

In 2024, we opened The Loft - a beautifully designed, dedicated space for designers and builders to meet with clients, plan projects, collaborate, or simply come in and work for the day. Learn more about The Loft here.

The biggest part of Okanagan Hardwood's success over the past 60 years can be attributed to to the hard work and dedication of our staff and skilled tradesmen, many of whom have an average tenure of over ten years.

Our designer showroom offers one of the Okanagan’s most comprehensive selections of flooring and surface products. From hardwood, tile and natural stone to laminate, vinyl, carpet, cork and resilient flooring, we offer an extensive range of styles, materials and finishes to suit virtually any project.

We also offer wall and backsplash products, along with the details that can make a space truly distinctive — including custom inlays, borders, medallions, flush-mount floor vents, finishing supplies and more.

We are proud to now carry Hunter Douglas window coverings, giving our customers access to beautifully designed solutions for light control, privacy, energy efficiency and style. With flooring and window coverings under one roof, it’s easier to create a cohesive look from the ground up.

Craftsmanship That Lasts

Our expertise goes well beyond product selection. We specialize in residential and commercial flooring, sports floors, restoration, hardwood installation, sanding and refinishing.

Our Bona Certified Craftsmen bring years of experience and specialized training to every hardwood project. Using advanced DCS dust-containment sanding systems and Bona finishing products, we can install new hardwood floors or restore existing floors to reveal their natural beauty.

We’ve always believed in embracing better ways of doing things. We were the first in the Okanagan to introduce the Atomic Dustless Sanding System, and we continue to seek out innovative, high-performance and environmentally conscious technologies within the flooring industry.
